Celebrating Success
John is just one of our many clients who has achieved incredible success after a brain injury; through hard work and determination, and with the support of his family and team, he overcame significant cognitive and psychological problems to graduate from high school and enter the university of his choice. This photo of him truly captures one of the central elements of our philosophy at NRS - Celebrating Success.
Our celebrations can take many different forms, from words of encouragement and congratulations, to team/family celebratory get-togethers, to major events such as our "Celebrating Your Success As We Enter the Millennium" Awards Evening. You may have attended this truly inspirational evening held in November 1999 at the Ontario Science Center; over 250 clients, family members, employers, teachers, rehabilitation professionals, lawyers and insurers gathered to pay tribute to the incredible accomplishments individuals can achieve after brain injury.
You may also have received a copy of our "Celebrating Your Success after Brain Injury" 2001 Calendar, which highlighted the stories and inspirational messages of 12 of our clients.
As well, this was the theme of the conference we hosted in June 2000 entitled "Celebrating Success After TBI: Clinical, Ethical and Medico-Legal Considerations in Defining Success". We are always looking for innovative ways to recognize and celebrate success after brain injury - if you have any suggestions for us, please let us know!
