Vocational Program
Following his injury, Paul was determined to return his job as crane operator. Because of his brain injury, his special needs included:
- Vocational assessment and return to work programming that not only addressed his physical difficulties (poor balance and pain), but also his cognitive problems (impaired judgment and poor impulse control).
- On the job" support to help him address the real challenges he faced with his gradual return to work program.
- Longer term support, to ensure he could perform his job duties consistently over time.
Today, with the support of his employer and rehabilitation team, he is proud to have successfully completed a three day a week crane operator work trial and moved on to a ground position that better suits his abilities.
