Social Work Counselling
NRS Inc.'s social workers provide a number of therapeutic and educational supports to clients and family members with a focus on reactivating and reconnecting individuals to their network of psychosocial supports. One of the goals of social work counselling is to maximize independence and quality of life within the family and community.
Social workers who specialize in brain injury understand the emotional and social impact the injury can have upon the individual and his/her support network and as such, aim to help facilitate healthy adjustment, adaptation and emotional well-being. Social workers also help families access appropriate financial, social, educational and recreational community-based programs and resources.
